About
Dr. Garcia has worked in Calgary since 2004 and has been practicing medicine since 1987. He currently practices Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Family Medicine Department of the University of Calgary, and is certified in sports medicine by the Canadian Academy of Sports and Exercise Medicine and by the College of Family Physicians of Canada. His previous experience before coming to Alberta includes 2 years of formal training in Orthopaedics, and work in emergency medicine, rural medicine, basic general surgery, obstetrics and on board of cruise ships. He holds a Masters in Medical Education and his publications have focused in procedural skills training.
